About this opportunity

The Department of State through the U.S. Embassy in Belize originally issued Request for Quotations (RFQ) 19BH2025Q0024 seeking procurement of an Electric Forklift, specifically a Landoll Bendi Electrical Forklift Model Quad (4-Stage) Mast B40AC or equivalent with 4,000 lbs capacity and 276-inch lift height. The solicitation required vendors to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and emphasized a "Lowest Price Technically Acceptable" evaluation approach, considering prior experience, pricing, and compliance with solicitation requirements. Quotations were initially due by September 9, 2025 at 12:00 pm local time, with electronic submissions accepted via email to BelmopanProcurement@state.gov. However, on September 24, 2025, Contracting Officer John Paul Schutz issued a cancellation notice for the original solicitation, citing the government's decision to revise the Scope of Work for the U.S. Embassy in Belmopan. Prospective offerors will remain on the mailing list to receive the revised solicitation when issued.

This procurement opportunity carried no set-aside designation and was unrestricted to all qualified vendors. No incumbent contractors or specific award values were mentioned in the available documentation. The forklift specifications included detailed technical parameters such as specific travel speeds, lift characteristics, battery specifications, and additional features including a complete charging station, LED lights, and a fork positioner. Delivery was required within 90 days of contract award to the U.S. Despatch Department at SUVI Global Services in Doral, Florida, though the equipment's ultimate destination is the U.S. Embassy in Belmopan, Belize. The procurement falls under NAICS code 333924 (Industrial Truck, Tractor, Trailer, and Stacker Machinery Manufacturing) and PSC code 3930 (Warehouse Trucks And Tractors, Self-Propelled).
