About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command is seeking to procure two desert sand-colored Expandable Internal Slingable Unit (EISU-90) Workstations for Little Rock Air Force Base. The required units must be 4-way forkliftable specialized containers with stowed dimensions of 88"W x 108"L x 91.47"H and a total weight of 4,600 pounds, designed specifically for internal air transport and helicopter sling lift operations. Each workstation must include an integral 463L air cargo pallet base for direct loading into aircraft cargo restraint systems, and feature comprehensive equipment including a 5.5kW diesel/JP8 generator, 15-gallon air compressor, electrical systems with 110-120VAC power, storage cabinets, wood workbench, vise, lighting, and floor leveling jacks. The evaluation process will assess offers based on two equally weighted factors - Price and Technical Capability - with a two-step methodology that first ranks responsive offers by price, then conducts technical evaluations rating submissions as either "Acceptable" or "Unacceptable." The solicitation was posted on July 29, 2025, with proposals due by August 5, 2025, giving potential contractors only one week to prepare and submit their offers.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified contractors. The solicitation documents do not identify any current incumbents or existing contractors for this specialized military equipment. While specific award values or budget ranges are not disclosed in the available documentation, the requirement is for exactly two units of the EISU-90 workstation system, indicating a relatively limited quantity procurement. The expandable workshop units are designed to provide maintenance personnel with fully equipped, transportable workspaces measuring 245.20"W x 108"L x 91.47"H when expanded for performing equipment maintenance and repairs in field environments. Performance will take place at Little Rock Air Force Base in Arkansas, where the 19th Maintenance Squadron will utilize these specialized containers to support expeditionary maintenance operations and aircraft support activities.
