About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure an EFIS Control Panel (NSN 7R-1680-015854994-P8) with a quantity of 1 unit, to be delivered FOB Origin. This procurement is a pre-solicitation notice for a highly specialized component that requires engineering source approval from the design control activity. The contract opportunity emphasizes maintaining technical quality and relies on sources with unique design capabilities and manufacturing/repair knowledge. Potential vendors must submit comprehensive source approval information from the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Source Approval Information Brochures, with all proposals due by May 30, 2025. The government intends to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, and all proposals received within 45 days of publication will be considered.

The pre-solicitation notice does not specify a set-aside designation and does not indicate a specific award value or budget range. The procurement is categorized under PSC 1680 for Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories and Components, suggesting this is a specialized aerospace or aviation-related component. The contract is considered flight-critical, which means potential vendors must demonstrate rigorous technical qualifications and potentially undergo extensive approval processes. Vendors who are not currently approved sources must submit detailed technical data demonstrating their capability to produce the item. The government reserves the discretion to continue award processes based on fleet support needs, even if source approval evaluations are not completed within the expected timeframe.
