About this opportunity

This pre-solicitation notice seeks proposals to provide a 150KVA generator, enclosure, transfer switch and installation services for the U.S. Embassy in Cartagena, Colombia. The Department of State, through the U.S. Embassy Bogota, will award a firm fixed price contract for supplying the generator, enclosure and performing all required civil, mechanical and electrical work. All contractor personnel must obtain security clearance before accessing the embassy compound. Proposals are due by March 20, 2024 and the agency may award without discussions based on initial offers. The agency will conduct a site visit, with details provided in the forthcoming solicitation.

There is no set-aside designated for this procurement. Registration in the System for Award Management is required prior to award according to FAR 52.204-7. The NAICS code is 238210 and PSC code is F196. The place of performance will be the U.S. Embassy in Cartagena, Colombia. No electronic submissions will be accepted, with all proposals to be mailed to the U.S. Embassy Bogota contracting office.

Please note that this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Colombia will launch the solicitation on beta.SAM website when it is available.

 

The requirement is for providing A 150KVA GENERATOR, enclosure, transfer switch and installation services in EBO Cartagena.   The contractor shall supply the 150 KVA generator with enclosure and installation services that includes civil, mechanic and electrical work.  All contractor personnel must be capable of obtaining a security clearance by the Regional Security Office (RSO) of the U.S. Embassy prior to gaining access to the compound to perform tasks under the contract.

The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract.

The Government is planning a site visit and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation.

All contractors have to be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to contract award pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective contractors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations.
