About this opportunity

NASA's Shared Services Center is seeking a single Ebara ESA-70W dry vacuum pump with a pumping capacity of 8,400 liters per minute to support operations at the Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. This multi-stage Roots dry (oil-free) pump must meet precise technical specifications including an ultimate pressure of 3.0 x 102 torr, operation on 208 VAC 3-phase 60 Hz power, nitrogen purge capability, NW50 gas inlet and NW40 gas outlet connections, sound levels below 65 dB, water cooling capability, and an approximate weight of 836 lbs. The procurement will be evaluated using a lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) approach, meaning the Government will award the contract to the offeror providing the lowest price quote that demonstrates satisfactory capability to meet all stated requirements. All quotations must remain valid for 30 days and must include two points of contact, Cage Code and UEI number, anticipated delivery lead time, shipping costs, and any available discounts. Written questions must be submitted by February 26, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Central Time to laura.a.quave@nasa.gov, with quotations due by March 2, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Central Time.

This procurement is set aside exclusively for small business concerns, and all prospective offerors must be registered in SAM.gov and certified as small business entities to be eligible for award. The justification for this brand-name requirement stems from NASA's Testing Division standardization initiative, which establishes the Ebara ESA-70W as the standardized pump model across NASA's vacuum facilities to reduce parts inventory, minimize operational downtime, decrease training costs, and enhance reliability and interchangeability. The Government estimates a delivery lead time of three to four months after receipt of order (ARO), with payment terms set at Net 30 and FOB Destination shipping to the Glenn Research Center. This is a one-unit procurement with an estimated cost that is redacted in the public documentation, though the total includes equipment cost plus freight charges. Authorized resellers of Ebara products are permitted to submit quotations, and award will be based on technical acceptability combined with the lowest submitted price.
