About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center intends to solicit a firm-fixed-price requirements indefinite delivery contract for repairs to E-3 AWACS Flight Management System components under the DRAGON program, with proposals due by May 17, 2026. The contract is anticipated for five years (a basic period plus four one-year ordering periods) totaling 35 repairs across fiscal years 2026 through 2030: 5 repairs in FY26, 6 in FY27, 7 in FY28, 8 in FY29, and 9 in FY30. The DRAGON program replaced the E-3 AWACS navigator position with a modern automated Flight Management System integrating flight computers and digital displays for flight and engine data management.

The source documentation states that the E-3 Dragon Navigation Control is the only approved and capable repair source for this acquisition, a statement that appears to describe existing capability rather than a sole-source procurement intent. All responsible small business sources may submit proposals. Evaluation will follow criteria stated in the RFQ. The contracting agency will use PPIRS, EPLS, and other government databases to verify contractor status prior to proposal evaluation. No set-aside is applied to this procurement. Part number is 69-37369-305; National Stock Number is 5826-01-717-5972.
