About this opportunity

Naval Air Systems Command is conducting a sources-sought notice to identify manufacturers for Precision Approach Landing Capability (PALC) AN/APN-246 A-Kits for the E-2D fleet, with initial deliveries required by 1 November 2027. This is market research to inform acquisition strategy, not a binding solicitation. The anticipated contract type is fixed price, with an anticipated award date of 28 January (year not fully specified in source).

The A-Kit comprises antenna(s), harness, mounting tray, power-on switch, and accessories. Performance encompasses manufacture, assembly, and delivery of retrofit kits and initial spares for the entire E-2D fleet. The period of performance is 36 months, not to exceed the duration of the parallel Non-Recurring Engineering contract currently developing the A-Kit design. Deliveries are planned in increments throughout the performance period to support both fleet retrofit and ongoing spare provisioning.

No set-aside applies. NAICS 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC 1680 (Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories and Components) apply. Responses to this sources sought are voluntary and do not constitute offers; the government incurs no obligation to award a contract or compensate respondents for information provided.
