About this opportunity
The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a sole source solicitation to Raytheon Technologies Missile and Defense to provide design agent engineering, technical support services, spares, and repair parts for dual band radar systems from fiscal year 2022 through 2026. The services include hardware and software upgrades, product support, testing, program management, and studies/analysis. Raytheon is considered the only contractor with the requisite experience, capabilities, and technical data to meet cost and schedule requirements. Responses to this pre-solicitation notice will be considered for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
No set-aside will be used for this potential award. Raytheon has developed and led integration efforts for the dual band radar suite currently installed on CVN 78 and DDG 1000 class vessels. As the current incumbent, Raytheon is uniquely qualified to provide continued support. This follow-on acquisition will continue work performed under contracts N00024-19-C-5509 and N00024-18-G-5501 and is expected to have a period of performance through fiscal year 2026.

Raytheon IDS has additionally led efforts to design and integrate the MFR, back-end electronics, and the common array power and cooling systems for the DBR.
