About this opportunity
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in partnership with the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) has issued a Special Notice announcing a virtual training event regarding Facilities Clearance (FCL) acquisition. This Special Notice was posted on March 3, 2026, and serves as an informational notice rather than a competitive procurement opportunity. The training is designed for entities—including companies and academic institutions—that seek to understand the FCL application process and requirements. A Facilities Clearance is mandatory for any organization that provides goods or services to the Government involving access to or creation of classified information. The notice emphasizes the importance of this clearance for Government contractors and service providers operating in the defense sector.
The virtual training will take place on March 25, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time, with DCSA presenting information on the clearance application process and addressing common reasons for application delays or denials. Interested participants must register by midnight on March 23, 2026, through the online registration portal at https://osbp.experience.crmforce.mil/EventRegistration/s/ by selecting "Roadmap to Obtaining a Facility Clearance MAR2026" from the available options. All contractors and organizations seeking or requiring Facilities Clearances are eligible to attend this training. Registered participants will receive a virtual training link on March 24, 2026, and may submit advance questions to DTRA-SB-Outreach@mail.mil with "Facilities Clearance Training Question(s)" as the subject line. For registration assistance, interested parties experiencing technical difficulties should contact DTRA-SB-Outreach@mail.mil with documentation of the error encountered.
