About this opportunity
The 30th Contracting Squadron at Vandenberg Space Force Base has issued a sole source notice of intent to procure three Dronebuster units from Flex Force Enterprises, LLC (operating as Dzyne Technologies LLC). This procurement falls under the Department of the Air Force Space Command and involves the acquisition of specialized counter-small unmanned aircraft systems (C-sUAS) equipment. The contract will be structured as a firm-fixed-price arrangement executed under Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12 for commercial products and services, with the procurement not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. The requirement includes three main contract line items covering the Dronebuster units themselves, shipping and handling, and warranty services. The agency has identified Dzyne as the sole manufacturer of this particular drone interdiction technology through market research.
The primary objective behind this notice is to acquire non-kinetic handheld counter-drone capabilities to enhance the 30th Space Force Squadron's ability to prevent, detect, and neutralize small unmanned aerial systems threats. While this is not a request for quotes or proposals, interested parties may submit capability statements via email to the designated contracting officers by September 2, 2025, at 8:00 AM Pacific Time. Any contractor wishing to demonstrate their qualifications must provide a narrative describing their capabilities to fulfill the requirement, though the government will not reimburse any costs associated with preparing these statements. The government retains sole discretion in determining whether to open the requirement to competitive bidding based on the responses received. The DroneBuster system offers strategic advantages including FAA approval with universal operational authorization, single-unit threat disruption capabilities, and reduced logistical complexity compared to alternative solutions.
