About this opportunity

The U.S. Embassy Bangkok is seeking drone show services through a Request for Quotations (RFQ) numbered 19TH2026Q0023, with proposals due by April 7, 2026 at 4:00 PM Bangkok local time. The Department of State intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract to the responsible company submitting the lowest-priced acceptable offer based on initial quotations, though discussions may be held with competitors in the competitive range if deemed necessary. Contractors must provide 300 drones for a 10-15 minute aerial performance celebrating America's 250th Anniversary on July 4, 2026, near Icon Siam over the Chao Phraya River, with all pricing submitted in Thai Baht and inclusive of labor, materials, overhead, profit, licenses, permits, insurance, administration, and transportation. Key requirements include obtaining all necessary local authorizations from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission of Thailand (NBTC), Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) by June 10, 2026, along with proof of insurance by July 3, 2026, and inclusion of Defense Base Act insurance in the pricing. Questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted by March 30, 2026 at 12:00 PM Bangkok local time, and all offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to proposal submission.

This solicitation contains no set-aside designation and does not identify any incumbent contractors. The specific contract value or budget range has not been disclosed in the solicitation materials. Contractors must demonstrate established Thai business operations, provide past performance references for drone show services, and submit detailed capability information including project manager identification, equipment and personnel resources, licensing plans, and strategic work plans. Optional additional drone shows may be available at contractor-specified prices to be included in the quotation. The place of performance is Bangkok, Thailand, with the drone show event scheduled for July 4, 2026, requiring all work to be completed by that date with authorizations and insurance documentation finalized in the weeks preceding the event.
