About this opportunity

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District is preparing to solicit maintenance dredging capability on Lake Ontario, with a sources sought notice due by June 18, 2026. No set-aside is anticipated.

The Buffalo District performs maintenance dredging at several commercial and recreational harbors on Lake Ontario. Historically, contractors have mobilized equipment from the Upper Great Lakes, but this approach is not cost-effective for smaller recreational harbors, particularly when funding cannot combine multiple projects. The sources sought notice targets companies with recent, routine dredging experience on Lake Ontario.

Interested vendors should submit company name, point of contact, contact information, and SAM.gov UEI number (if registered); descriptions of up to five recent dredging projects on Lake Ontario; equipment used on those five projects; and additional equipment available for maintenance dredging. The submission is for market research only and does not constitute a request for proposal. No compensation will be provided for submitted information.
