About this opportunity
The Department of Homeland Security's US Coast Guard is seeking to procure Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) 60 series marine engine parts through an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The solicitation covers 140 unique parts for the 45' Response Boat Medium (RBM) fleet, including components such as adapters, gaskets, sensors, valves, and electronic assemblies. Interested vendors must be qualified small businesses with an authorized DTNA distributor letter, and they are currently invited to submit questions or concerns about the draft solicitation to Kirk Miller via email by April 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM ET. The procurement will use a lowest-price technically acceptable evaluation approach, with the government planning to select up to three contractors. Offerors will be required to provide pricing for all Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) across the base and optional years.
The contract is a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 333618 for Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing, with a potential maximum order value of $4,000,000. The contract structure includes a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, potentially spanning from June 2025 through May 2030. Vendors must submit proposals for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts on a brand name basis and include an OEM authorized dealer letter with their submission. Each selected contractor will have 5 business days to respond to individual delivery order requests during the contract period. The total contract is designed to support the US Coast Guard's marine engine parts procurement needs, with the opportunity offering small businesses a chance to compete for a significant federal contract in the maritime equipment sector.
