About this opportunity

NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia is seeking to procure 11 aircraft access doors (NSN 016278309, P/N 74A463950-1001) for F18 E/F Fighter Aircraft through a non-competitive solicitation. The Department of the Navy intends to award the contract directly to The Boeing Company under FAR 6.302-1 authority, utilizing commercial item acquisition procedures from FAR Part 12. The procurement is classified under NAICS code 336413 and is subject to the Buy American Act. Interested contractors must submit capability statements within 15 days of the notice's publication, though the government retains sole discretion on whether to compete the contract. Potential vendors must also complete a Source Approval Request process, with details available on the NAVSUP website.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations for this procurement. The total quantity is 11 units, with delivery specified as FOB Origin. While the government intends to sole-source to Boeing, they are technically allowing other responsible sources to express interest and submit proposals. Source approval is required, and NAVSUP WSS will not delay the award pending source approval. The contracting officer determined through market research that the item meets commercial item definitions, which influences the acquisition approach. Vendors seeking to participate must be prepared to submit comprehensive source approval documentation alongside their proposal, with additional information obtainable through the contact provided: vladimir.maksimchuk.civ@us.navy.mil.
