About this opportunity

The Department of Defense (DoD) Washington Headquarters Services Acquisition Directorate is conducting market research for a corrosion prevention training contract focused on coatings application technologies and quality assurance. The Sources Sought Notice seeks capability statements from interested firms to support training for DoD and Coast Guard personnel, with an anticipated annual delivery of approximately 375 training class seats. The training curriculum will cover surface preparation, coating application techniques, and quality assurance criteria across multiple sectors including aerospace, ground systems, industrial equipment, ships, and infrastructure. Vendors must submit clearly numbered responses corresponding to sections A, B, C, and D, with failure to provide complete responses potentially resulting in being deemed "not capable." The response deadline is May 29, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time, with submissions to be made via email to Jasmine Sadat.

The opportunity is not set aside for any specific small business category, though it encourages participation from 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned, and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Businesses. This contract is a follow-on to the previous contract HQ0034-20-C-0181 awarded to AMPP GLOBAL CENTER, INC. The anticipated contract will have a 6-month base period with four 12-month option periods, with a projected contract award date of September 1, 2025, and a start date of September 15, 2025. While specific award value details are not explicitly stated, the comprehensive training program spanning multiple DoD and Coast Guard sectors suggests a significant contract scope. The training program will provide technical education on complex corrosion prevention techniques across diverse industrial and military infrastructure environments.
