About this opportunity
The Department of Defense (DoD) Washington Headquarters Service is conducting a Sources Sought Notice to identify potential contractors for Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPC) Training on applications of Corrosion Control. The procurement seeks a training provider capable of delivering comprehensive corrosion control engineering and maintenance education targeting approximately 250 training class seats annually for DoD and Coast Guard students. Vendors must submit clearly numbered responses addressing specific sections of the notice, with failure to provide complete responses potentially resulting in being deemed "not capable." The evaluation will focus on firms' ability to provide qualified instructors, training facilities, course materials, and maintain a student data repository. The response deadline is May 29, 2025, with an anticipated contract award date of September 1, 2025, and a contract start date of September 15, 2025.
The contract does not have a specific small business set-aside, but interested firms including 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned, and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned small businesses are encouraged to submit capabilities statements. The current incumbent is AMPP GLOBAL CENTER, INC., and this appears to be a follow-on contract. The initial contract structure includes a 6-month base period with four additional 12-month option periods, suggesting potential multi-year engagement. Training delivery will be flexible, accommodating in-person classroom lectures, online coursework, or hybrid models, and must be accredited by an organization that sets industry corrosion standards. While specific award value is not disclosed, the comprehensive training requirements and annual seat volume indicate a potentially significant contract opportunity for qualified contractors specializing in technical and engineering training services.
