About this opportunity
This notice seeks information for the potential future procurement of one DMG Mori douBLOCK DMC 125 5 axis machining center for the Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center Benet Labs located at Watervliet Arsenal. The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Watervliet Arsenal Contracting Office is requesting interested parties submit capability statements and brochures by December 4th detailing their ability to provide this machining center as configured for cannon production process and technology transfer. Evaluation will consider the ability to perform the notice requirements and any anticipated sub-tier needs.
There is no set-aside designated for this potential procurement. It is anticipated a sole source award would be made to DMG Mori, the original equipment manufacturer, given direct compatibility needs for technology transfer from Benet Labs and the high costs of reproducing specialized software or accessories from another manufacturer. No budget range or value was provided, but the notice seeks information for the procurement of one DMC 125 machining center from DMG Mori's authorized East Coast distributor DMG Mori Erie.
