About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Medical is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to research potential long-term contracts for medical equipment repair and replacement parts. The agency seeks to establish contracts with commercial vendors capable of supplying new, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) medical equipment repair parts for various medical equipment items used by military services globally. This market research effort aims to determine vendor capabilities for furnishing genuine OEM parts for medical equipment used in deployed locations like the Pacific and Europe. Vendors are required to complete a detailed Vendor Feedback Response Form addressing their ability to supply parts, provide OEM letters of supply, and offer commercial catalog pricing. The key response deadline is 3:00 PM EST on June 6, 2025, with electronic submissions to be sent to Christina Heller at christina.heller@dla.mil.
The procurement is not set aside for any specific business category and covers medical equipment parts across multiple manufacturers including Germfree, Mettler Toledo, Sonicor, and others. The estimated annual parts ordering value is approximately $4 Million, with parts to be ordered through the Medical Electronic Catalog (ECAT) ordering system. The parts will support medical equipment repair capabilities for military services worldwide, with potential ordering from multiple US and overseas locations. Equipment categories include biological safety cabinets, weighing scales, ultrasonic cleaners, laboratory equipment, dental and ophthalmic instruments, microscopes, and refrigeration units. The government emphasizes that this RFI is solely for market research purposes and will not result in an immediate contract award, and vendors will not be compensated for their response preparation.

Update #2 · Latest ·
The Military services have recurring requirements for medical equipment repair and replacement parts. The Military Services have medical equipment repair capability around the globe in support of both enduring military engagement and regional support requirements. Medical equipment used by deployed forces (e.g. in the pacific and Europe) is returned to one of these facilities for repair, refurbishment or replacement when the repair exceeds the deployed unit’s maintenance capability. While most of the parts ordering will occur from this location, there are numerous other sites in the US and OCONUS that will be placing parts orders.
This Request for Information (RFI) is a market research effort undertaken by the Government for information gathering purposes. The information will be used to determine the viability of establishing long term contracts with commercial vendors to furnish new (not used or refurbished) Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) medical equipment repair parts for various medical equipment items.
The RFI information is in the attachment SPE2D1-25-SPARE_PARTS_RFI
The Attachment A is a subset, sample list of medical equipment Manufacturers and models accurately representing the type of equipment for which parts that may be ordered. As equipment models are replaced and/or upgraded, the list of required repair parts will be updated accordingly for addition to ECAT.
Please provide a response to all questions in Attachment B. Additional information can be submitted in a separate file to support any answer provided by the respondent.
The Government shall not be responsible or liable for any costs incurred by any party in the preparation and submission of any response to this RFI.
Responses to this RFI shall be submitted electronically and in writing to Christina Heller at christina.heller@dla.mil has been extended to 3:00 PM EST, 06 JUNE 2025
