About this opportunity

Naval Air Systems Command is conducting market research to identify sources capable of supporting a Life of Type Buy of nine obsolete electronic components for the Distributed Targeting Processor-Networked (DTP-N), a mission computer for F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft, with responses due July 24, 2026. This is a sources-sought notice for informational purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to award.

The DTP-N provides high-performance computing and video processing for advanced mission capabilities through a dual-redundant High Speed Data Network and two single High Speed Video Network interfaces, including a dedicated Graphics Output Interface, to transfer video, imagery, graphics, and sensor data between the DTP-N and other avionics systems. NAVAIR is seeking vendors with skills, experience, qualifications, and knowledge to sustain production of critical components identified as obsolete: Broadcom Ethernet Transceiver (BCM5482SHA2IFBG), Renesas Electronics PCIe Switch (89H32NT24AG2ZCHLGI), NXP Microprocessor (P5020NXE7QMB), Silicon Motion NAND (SM631GEA-BA), Intel Processor (FH8065802420402 SR2E6), Intel Chipset FCBGA (DH82QM87 SR17C), Xilinx FPGA (XQF32PVOG48M), Intel Ethernet Controller (JL82599ES SR1VN), and Infineon Clock-Buffer (CY2304NZZXI-1). No set-aside applies. Responses are voluntary and carry no government obligation to pay for preparation or award a contract.

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), on behalf of the F/A-18 and EA-18G Program Office (PMA-265), is conducting market research to identify potential sources who have the skills, experience, qualifications, and knowledge required to successfully support a Life of Type Buy (LoTB) of obsolete electronic components for the Distributed Targeting Processor-Networked (DTP-N).

The DTP-N is a mission computer that provides the high-performance computing and video processing required for the advanced mission capabilities of the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft.  It achieves this by utilizing a dual-redundant High Speed Data Network (HSDN) and two single High Speed Video Network (HSVN) interfaces—including a dedicated Graphics Output Interface—to facilitate the transfer of video, imagery, graphics, and sensor data between the DTP-N and other avionics systems.  This procurement is for the following nine obsolete components which are critical to the production and sustainment of the DTP-N:

  • Broadcom Ethernet Transceiver (Part Number: BCM5482SHA2IFBG)

  • Renesas Electronics PCIe Switch (Part Number: 89H32NT24AG2ZCHLGI)

  • NXP Microprocessor (Part Number: P5020NXE7QMB)

  • Silicon Motion NAND (Part Number: SM631GEA-BA)

  • Intel Processor (Part Number: FH8065802420402 SR2E6)

  • Intel Chipset FCBGA (Part Number: DH82QM87 SR17C)

  • Xilinx FPGA (Part Number: XQF32PVOG48M)

  • Intel Ethernet Controller (Part Number: JL82599ES SR1VN)

  • Infineon Clock-Buffer (Part Number: CY2304NZZXI-1)
