About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a Display Unit (NSN 7H-7025-015429425) for repair or modification, with a quantity of 6 units to be delivered to DLA Distribution in New Cumberland, PA. The proposed contract action will be negotiated with a single source under FAR 6.302-1, with the government retaining discretion over competitive procurement. Interested parties may identify their capability to respond to the requirement within 15 days of the notice, though this is not a formal request for competitive proposals. Qualification requirements will be critical, with award contingent upon the offeror, product/service, and manufacturer meeting specific standards at the time of award. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on December 12, 2024, with a response deadline of January 12, 2025.
The contract opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, falling under the IT and Telecom - End User Product Service Code (PSC 7E20). The procurement involves specialized equipment where the government does not own the technical data rights, making additional sourcing economically unfeasible. Potential bidders can obtain relevant military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point at Document Automation and Production Service in Philadelphia. The acquisition may be subject to Free Trade Agreements, specifically covered by potential DFARS clauses related to Buy American Act and international trade provisions. While specific award value is not disclosed, the limited quantity and specialized nature suggest this is a targeted, potentially high-value technical procurement for a specific military equipment component.
