About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a Flat Panel Display through this solicitation, targeting manufacturers and authorized distributors of electronic assemblies. The contract opportunity, posted on October 24, 2024, with responses due by December 11, 2024, requires detailed compliance with specific military standards including MIL-STD-130 for item marking and MIL-STD-2073 for packaging. Contractors must provide precise documentation demonstrating their ability to manufacture or distribute the specified display, with part number 63A170362P4 being a critical reference point. The government will require proof of authorization from the original equipment manufacturer for any non-manufacturer bidders, and will conduct source inspection to ensure quality compliance. Notably, the solicitation encourages CASREP accelerated delivery at no additional cost and anticipates potentially adding option quantities to the contract.
This procurement is not designated with a specific set-aside and falls under the NAICS category of Bare Printed Circuit Board Manufacturing (334412). The contract will be awarded bilaterally, requiring written contractor acceptance, with all freight designated as FOB Origin. While specific award value is not explicitly stated, the solicitation indicates the government's intent to potentially increase quantity at the specified unit price. Delivery will be managed through the established protocols, with the government reserving the right to increase supply quantities within the parameters of FAR 52.217-6. The procurement is supported by the Naval Supply Systems Command and targets electronic display components, with potential delivery and performance expectations to be further defined in the detailed contract specifications. Contractors will need to provide comprehensive documentation, including potential design change explanations and compliance with military standards.
