About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to procure 18 units of a DISK AND HUB, FAN, AI component, with a solicitation (SPRTA1-25-R-0139) anticipated to be issued on February 10, 2025. The procurement is for new material with a specific NSN and part number, targeted for F110 AMC application. Currently, only General Electric Company is an approved source, though non-approved sources may submit bids with the understanding that only qualified sources will be considered for award. Qualification requirements mandate that offerors, products, or manufacturers must meet specific standards in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The evaluation of offers will prioritize price as a significant factor, but the final contract award may also consider past performance factors. The government has established an Ombudsman (contactable at 405-855-3529) to address contractor concerns during the proposal development phase, and all solicitation documents will be available exclusively on SAM.gov.

The contract opportunity is not set aside for any specific category of business. General Electric Company, the current incumbent, previously fulfilled a similar contract in December 2016 for 20 units at $12,642.53 per unit. The current procurement seeks 18 units to be delivered by April 28, 2025, with an anticipated award date of March 31, 2025. The contract is classified as a non-commercial item, with no surplus authorization. Potential bidders should note that first articles might be required from newly approved sources, and the total potential contract value could approximate $227,565.54 based on the previous unit pricing. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation, and interested parties can direct questions to Kris Bruhwiler at 405-855-3515 or Kristine.bruhwiler@us.af.mil.
