About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is soliciting offers for brake discs under solicitation number SPRTA1-26-Q-0074 (PR 25-02409). This procurement falls under NAICS code 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC code 1650 (Aircraft Hydraulic, Vacuum, And De-Icing System Components). The solicitation was posted on February 10, 2026, with a proposal due date of March 12, 2026. The government has waived the synopsis requirement under FAR 5.202(a)(13) because the contract is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. Offerors will be permitted to respond electronically through the government portal, and the complete solicitation package is available through the Government Point of Entry (GPE).
This procurement includes no set-aside designation and is open to all eligible contractors. The specific award value, quantity of brake discs required, delivery timeline, and detailed contract requirements are not disclosed in the available documentation, as the primary government file appears to be a portfolio cover page lacking substantive contract details. The place of performance is identified as the United States. Interested contractors should access the complete solicitation package through the GPE to obtain detailed specifications, evaluation criteria, and submission requirements. The relatively short proposal window of approximately one month from posting to due date should be noted by potential offerors planning to submit.
Notice text
Exception is taken to this requirement solicitation SPRTA1-26-Q-0074 for PR 25-02409 of the synopsis publicizing IAW with FAR 5.202(a)(13), exception:
(i) Is for an amount not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold.
(ii) Will be made through a means that provides access to the notice of proposed contract action through the GPE.
(iii) Permits the public to respond to the solicitation electronically.
Electronic commerce is defined at 41 USC sec. 426 as electronic techniques for accomplishing business transactions, including electronic mail. Thus, provided the complete solicitation package is available through the GPE and offerors are permitted to respond electronically (i.e., email in this case), the proposed contract action would not need to be synopsized.
Therefore, synopsis is hereby waived as this acquisition is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold, request for proposal will be made through Contract Opportunities and the offerors will be able to respond electronically.
