About this opportunity
The Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Huachuca Division, DOC Operations Branch has issued a Special Notice for a Digital Drive/Controller procurement. The agency intends to award a noncompetitive sole source contract to Aerotech, Inc., located at 101 Zeta Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238. The procurement is for controllers that will enable azimuth and elevation movement capabilities at the United States Electronic Proving Grounds at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The contract falls under NAICS code 334513 and utilizes the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(d)(1)(B) for sole source acquisitions not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. This notice represents the government's intent to proceed without full and open competition.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform the contracting community of the government's intent to make a sole source award while providing an opportunity for interested parties to challenge this approach. The controllers will specifically support operations at the Antenna Test Facility (ATF), providing movement control for the Large Arc, Small Arc, Compact Range, Red & White Tower, and East Turntable systems. Contractors wishing to respond must submit clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government by 9:00 am Arizona time on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. All inquiries and responses must be directed via email to Monica Gjerde, Purchasing Agent, at monica.a.gjerde.civ@army.mil. The government will not pay for any information submitted and reserves the right to proceed with the sole source award regardless of responses received. This notice explicitly states that it is not a request for proposals or quotations and that no formal solicitation will be issued.
