About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 5 (VA VHA VISN 5) has issued a Special Notice for a sole source acquisition of Guest Wi-Fi Services. The notice pertains to a contract with N-ovation Technology Group LLC for maintaining existing guest Wi-Fi network infrastructure at the VA Maryland Health Care System in Baltimore. The procurement is being conducted under specific statutory provisions, including 41 USC A3304(a)(5) and 38 U.S. Code A 8127(c), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-5. The contract is anticipated to be a 6-month arrangement focused on supporting the current guest Wi-Fi network at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. The opportunity is classified under the NAICS category 541519 (Other Computer Related Services) and PSC category DG10 (IT and Telecom - Network as a Service).
The primary purpose of this Special Notice is to formally announce the VA's intent to pursue a sole source acquisition while still providing an opportunity for other potentially qualified contractors to submit capability statements or proposals. Contractors interested in being considered must submit their materials by March 25, 2025, which is the closing date for the notice. While the procurement is intended to be awarded to N-ovation Technology Group LLC, the VA will review any submissions from responsible sources that demonstrate capability to perform the required services. Eligibility is open to contractors who can maintain and support the existing guest Wi-Fi network infrastructure. The government retains full discretion in determining whether to compete the requirement based on the responses received. Importantly, this notice is not a formal solicitation for competitive proposals, but rather a notification of the VA's current procurement intention with an opportunity for alternative sources to be considered.
