Notice text
This competitive action was awarded pursuant to NASA Research Announcement (NRA) NNH11ZEA001N-SRW1, entitled Research Opportunities in Aeronautics (ROA) Subsonic Rotary Wing Project, Amendment 2, Subtopic 2.1, issued August 26, 2011. The objective of this effort is to design, fabricate, and evaluate a promising active flow control concept on an oscillating airfoil for on-blade alleviation of dynamic stall. The concept must be evaluated over a range of Mach numbers (0.2 to 0.5) to substantiate the capabilities of the concept at representative Mach number and/or identify reasons for the loss in effectiveness. Several values of reduced frequency shall be evaluated at each Mach number tested.
