About this opportunity

The Food and Nutrition Service of the United States Department of Agriculture seeks to procure innovative methods for collecting food price data in underrepresented regions through a total small business set-aside contract. Interested small businesses must submit capability statements by March 6, 2024 demonstrating experience convening expert panels, designing data collection protocols, collecting food price data, organizing and delivering data sets, and comparing statistical properties of multiple approaches. Capability statements will be evaluated based on experience, references, and inclusion of all required information within a 12 page limit.

This requirement has been set aside only for small businesses and falls under NAICS code 541611 with the principal supply classification code V202. Interested businesses must identify their size status, contract vehicles, DUNS number, and NAICS code when submitting capability statements to Chantey Bost by the March 6th deadline. If two or more capable small businesses respond, the contract will be fulfilled under the set-aside; otherwise it will be open to all businesses. The selected contractor will be expected to investigate, pilot, and implement new methods of collecting ongoing food price data in Alaska, Hawaii, and five U.S. territories over a period to be determined.
