About this opportunity
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is seeking to establish an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the development of extended reality (XR) content and scenarios to support technical training. This IDIQ contract will be used to issue task orders for the creation of XR-based training materials. Key requirements include demonstrating expertise in XR development and a thorough understanding of NRC's technical training needs. The evaluation criteria will likely prioritize technical approach, relevant experience, and cost competitiveness. Proposals are due by May 31, 2024, and interested parties should submit any questions by the established deadline.
This procurement is set aside for small businesses. While there may be incumbent contractors with existing NRC relationships, this IDIQ represents a new opportunity for the agency to expand its XR-based training capabilities. The total value of the IDIQ and individual task orders has not been disclosed, but the scope of work suggests a significant investment in XR technology and content development. The place of performance is expected to be at the contractor's facilities, with potential on-site work at the NRC Technical Training Center (TTC).
