Notice text
The AGDISP model is widely used to understand and regulate pesticide drift with the original AGDISP model focused on aerial application. Unmanned aerial systems (UAS) are becoming a larger part of aerial application and are the primary platforms for this work in many parts of the world. Spray deposition and drift from UAS is not adequately described, in many cases, by the algorithms currently in AGDISP, thus requiring a different approach to this modeling. Recent work has shown success in modeling pesticide deposition and drift from UAVs but substantial work is required to develop an aircraft library and put a new approach into the AGDISP platform. The successful contractor must have intimate familiarity with the AGDISP source code and experience in coding onto the AGDISP platform. The work will be to use existing modelled wake descriptions to develop an approach to include in AGDISP and add more wake configurations to the library if possible given the resources at hand..
