About this opportunity
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) is soliciting quotes for a desktop tower workstation PC equipped with powerful central processing units (CPUs) and graphics processing units (GPUs). The workstation must provide sufficient computational power to perform computationally expensive simulations for ERDC's SvEB Engineers and Scientists at their facility in Vicksburg, Mississippi. This combined synopsis/solicitation follows FAR Part 12 for commercial items and FAR Part 13 simplified acquisition procedures, with the solicitation document W912HZ25QA022 serving as the only request for quotes. The government intends to award a single contract to the responsible offeror whose quote demonstrates the best value through evaluation of technical acceptability, delivery lead time, and price. The deadline for quote submission is September 22, 2025, and the government plans to evaluate offers and award without discussions, requiring offerors to submit their best terms initially.
This procurement is designated as a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 334111 (Electronic Computer Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. The place of performance is specified as the ERDC facility located at 3909 Halls Ferry Road in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The solicitation includes three key documents: a bid sheet, the main solicitation document, and a detailed description of requirements that contains the complete technical specifications. The procurement follows a single award strategy, meaning only one contractor will be selected to fulfill the entire requirement. While specific award values and quantities are not disclosed in the summary notice, the technical requirements emphasize the need for high-performance computing capabilities suitable for complex engineering and scientific simulations.
