Supporting facilities include site preparation, new utilities, and parking.

(You must register to ensure a seat on the bus, no vehicles will be permitted to enter.) Bus will pick up across from Gate 1B, in the empty lot. It will leave promptly at 0900, please plan to arrive before 9:00 am. You will then be returned to the parking area when the site visit is complete. Registration ends on Wednesday, December 16 @ 4:00 pm local time so the transportation arrangement can be made. No exceptions.

Added: Oct 21, 2009 1:23 pm The proposed project is to Design/Build an Information Technology Complex, PH 1, at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. The scope of this project is to provide approximately 96,000 square feet of new office and computer room space for classified state-of-the-art computing, and a collaborate modeling and simulation environment. The new facility will have an electrical load of approximately 4 MW, and will provide all infrastructure, including raised flooring, in support of the use of specialty simulation equipment and supercomputers. Supporting facilities include site preparation, new utilities, and parking. The estimated price range is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. The project will contain the following options: 1. North Wall Expansion; 2. Raised Floor Expansion; 2a. Raised Floor Expansion For North Wall Expansion; 3. Comm Feed From 676; 4. Furniture Systems; 4a. Furniture Systems For North Wall Expansion; 5. IDS/Security; 6. 2 MW IT Mechanical/Electrical; 7. 4 MW IT Mechanical/Electrical; and 8. Free Cooling System. The solicitation is a single phase procurement following the best value process. Proposals will be evaluated based on the following technical factors: Experience, Past Performance, Management, Price and Pro Forma Requirements. All evaluation factors, other than cost or price, when combined, are equal to cost or price. The acquisition strategy will be design/build, and the estimated award date is January 2010. All Offerors are invited to attend a preproposal conference/site visit at Wright-Patterson AFB tentatively scheduled for 12 November 2009. Meeting details will be provided in the solicitation. A construction cost limitation will also be provided in the solicitation. NAICS is 236220 and the size standard is $33.5 million. Contract duration is 657 calendar days. The solicitation is full and open competition. Approximate issue date is 3 November 2009 and approximate closing date is 17 December 2009 at 2:00 p.m. local time.
