Update #2 ·

The Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site launched a new system on 1 April 2008. Subsequently, the interested vendors list (IVL) for this Presolicitation Notice was not carried over from the old FBO system to the new one. Therefore, it is anticipated that if any vendor registered in the IVL for this notice under the old system, they will not be notified from the new FBO system when the solicitation is posted. It is suggested that any vendors interested in this requirement register in the IVL for this Presolicitation Notice within the new system to ensure notification when the solicitation is posted. THIS IS A SPECIAL NOTICE. The synopsis remains unchanged. The points of contact are Becky.Veliz@amedd.army.mil, Contract Specialist, (210) 221-3191 and Pamela.Owens1@amedd.army.mil, Contracting Officer, (210) 221-4640.

Update #1 ·

The U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM), Center for Health Care Contracting (CHCC) intends to issue a solicitation for non-personal services to provide a network of qualified dental providers. The Government plans to award an Indefinite Delivery/Inde finite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offeror, whose proposal conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The contractor shall provide a qualified dental provider network consisting of private civilian dentists to perform routine and emergent dental treatment within their private offices as directed by a treatment plan provided by the Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) dental station in or der to remove a Reserve Component (RC) Soldier from a Dental Class 3 deployment status into a minimum of a Dental Class 2 deployment status IAW Health Affairs Policy: 02-011. Dental care at an SRP dental station must occur within days or weeks of the ini tial arrival date to the mobilization platform in order for the RC Soldier to train and deploy with their unit. The number of service members referred to the local provider network at any of the SRP dental stations approved to use the Reserve Component Mo bilization Referral Program (RC-MRP) is dependent upon the number of RC Soldiers mobilizing through that station, the status of their dental readiness when they present to that SRP dental station, and the SRP dental stations capability to treat the RC Sol diers within their facilities. Primary site locations to be serviced include: Camp Atterbury, IN; Camp Shelby, MS; Ft. Dix, NJ; Ft. McCoy, WI; Ft. Benning, GA; Ft. Bliss, TX; Ft. Bragg, NC; Ft. Hood, TX; Ft. Jackson, SC; Ft. Lewis, WA; Ft. Riley, KS; Ft. Sill, OK; and Ft. Stewart, GA. If a large mobilization troop surge occurs, the RC-MRP network must be capable of expanding to any one of 13 possible DENCOM mobilization platforms.
