About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is conducting a Sources Sought Notice for procurement of three (3) Repair Kits for Electrical Systems, specifically Part Number 376-97952-000, intended for ship Air Conditioning Plants No. 1, 2, and 4. The pre-solicitation notice is targeting contractors within NAICS category 333415 (Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC 4120 (Air Conditioning Equipment). Interested contractors are requested to provide lead times for these replacement parts, with the information being used exclusively for acquisition planning purposes. The government emphasizes that this notice does not commit to providing responses to comments or questions, and no claims can be made against the government as a result of this announcement. All responses must be submitted by February 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM PST, and should be sent via email to Jamie Devera and Cynthia Urias at their respective Navy civilian email addresses.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this contract opportunity. While no incumbent contractors are mentioned, the Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) is specifically seeking vendors capable of supplying these electrical system repair kits. No explicit award value or budget range is provided in the notice, though the procurement involves three specific repair kits for ship air conditioning systems. The notice is structured as a market research effort to understand potential contractor capabilities and lead times for the required parts. The procurement is aligned with the Department of the Navy's defense procurement processes, targeting manufacturers or suppliers specialized in air conditioning and refrigeration equipment manufacturing. The tight submission window and specific part requirements suggest a focused and time-sensitive procurement approach.
