About this opportunity
The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue solicitation N00024-20-R-2310 for the accomplishment of Post Shakedown Availabilities on three DDG 51 class destroyers at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. A PSA encompasses the correction of government trial deficiencies, new work identified between custody transfer and PSA start, and approved engineering changes. The procurement will require manpower, support services, material, facilities, and non-standard equipment to accomplish work items, tests, and post-repair sea trials. Responses will be evaluated for experience with PSAs on DDG 51s. The deadline for questions is July 17, 2020, after which a solicitation will be issued at SAM.gov.
This will be a total small business set-aside issued under NAICS 336611 and PSC J998. The estimated value is $150M over three years. As the incumbent, BAE Systems is likely qualified, though the work has historically been done by Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. The notice provides potential offerors with advance summary of requirements to support three DDG 51 PSAs at Pearl Harbor from 2020-2023.
