About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command is seeking to procure eight Nihon Kohden NK330 Non-Invasive Ventilators for the David Grant Medical Center's Respiratory Care Flight at Travis AFB, California. The procurement is currently in a pre-solicitation Request for Information (RFI) phase, with responses due by January 3, 2025, at 1:00 pm Pacific Time. Vendors must submit detailed responses including their business name, representative information, business size, CAGE code, and Unique Entity ID, along with a description of proposed products and delivery timeline. The ventilators must meet specific technical requirements, including dual HEPA filtration, integrated ETCOS and SpO2 monitoring, high flow oxygen therapy, and FDA approval. Potential respondents should email their information to two specified Air Force contacts: juliet.diggs.1@us.af.mil and maekyla_jane.rosendo.3@us.af.mil.
The contract is not set aside for any specific business category and will be open to all qualified vendors in the Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing sector. The procurement includes not just the ventilators, but also eight transport trolleys, multiple sizes of NPPV CapOne masks, and comprehensive staff training for 25 personnel. The ventilators must support both adult and pediatric patients weighing over 12.5 kg, with specific technical capabilities including tidal volumes as low as 100ml, 72 hours of full-disclosure clinical data, and flow rates from 1-60 L/min. Delivery is required within 60 days after contract award, and the package includes four years of preventive maintenance parts and software upgrades. While no specific award value is mentioned, the comprehensive requirements suggest a significant medical equipment procurement for the Air Force medical facility.
