About this opportunity

The US Coast Guard is seeking to establish a four-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for daily hangar rental in Dutch Harbor, Alaska, specifically targeting a 2,250 square foot hangar space for storage and maintenance of fixed and rotary wing aircraft during Bering Sea mission operations. This sole source procurement will be executed through the USCG Base in Kodiak, with the intent to award directly to Guardian Flight LLC, the only vendor in the region meeting the government's specific requirements. The procurement is being conducted under FAR Parts 12 and 13, using commercial item acquisition procedures, and is classified under NAICS code 488119 for Other Airport Operations. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications in writing by April 24, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Alaska time, though the government retains sole discretion on whether to pursue full and open competition. The evaluation of submitted capabilities will focus on determining the potential for competitive procurement.

The procurement is not set aside for any specific business category and will be awarded on a firm fixed rate basis. Guardian Flight LLC, located in South Jordan, Utah, is the sole identified vendor, with a unique entity identifier of EDBGG6BM8LA3. The contract's justification stems from the unique geographical constraints of Dutch Harbor, where Guardian Flight operates the only facility meeting the government's operational requirements. The four-year performance period will commence upon BPA execution, with the hangar space serving critical Coast Guard maritime mission needs in the remote Bering Sea region. While no specific contract value is disclosed, the procurement represents a strategic solution for temporary aircraft accommodation during government deployments, highlighting the specialized nature of this commercial space rental opportunity.
