About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Technology Acquisition Center is seeking Hasura GraphQL software or an equivalent API generating tool for its Veterans Benefits Administration Office of Information Technology Loan Guaranty Program. The procurement aims to supply a web application server that enables developers to create, generate, document, test, and deploy APIs for LGY stakeholders with specific technical requirements including multi-protocol support, granular access controls, and the ability to build production-ready data APIs without coding. Key contract objectives include improving API performance, efficiency, and flexibility, with capabilities to fetch specific data and support both GraphQL and REST protocols. Potential vendors must submit responses by December 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM CST to Juan.Perez5@va.gov, providing company details, contact information, Unique Entity ID, CAGE code, and small business certifications. The VA intends to award a single Firm-Fixed Price contract under NAICS code 541519.
The procurement is specifically set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and includes a base period of 12 months from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, with two additional 12-month option periods. The contract requires one Hasura V2 Platform Licensing Fee per year and 50 Hasura Enterprise Edition V2 Annual Subscriptions with Business Support, along with optional tasks for an additional 120 subscriptions per year. While no incumbent contractors were explicitly named, the VA plans to potentially utilize the NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) V Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) for this procurement. The specific line items include platform licensing fees and enterprise edition subscriptions, with each year's commitment mirroring the previous year's structure. The total contract value is not explicitly stated, but the multi-year structure and substantial subscription quantities suggest a significant potential investment in GraphQL API technology for the VA's Loan Guaranty Program.
