About this opportunity
The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division located in China Lake, California is seeking to procure six cylindrical antennas, product number 1001250-101, under a Firm Fixed Price commercial contract. This procurement is being conducted on a non-competitive basis as ThinKom is the original proprietary designer, developer, and manufacturer of the required antennas. Interested firms must submit a written capability statement by February 16, 2026 (ten days after publication) referencing solicitation number N6893626Q5085, clearly demonstrating their experience, assets, background, and ability to perform the work while maintaining quality, accuracy, reliability, and schedule requirements. Key qualifications include certification through Defense Logistics Information Services for access to Controlled Unclassified Information, Cyber Maturity Model Certification Level 2 (CUI Self), and registration in the System for Award Management database. Contractors must also coordinate with their CAGE code's Data Custodian Point of Contact to request CUI access, with the DD 2345 form approved prior to system access.
This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, limiting competition to qualified small business entities. ThinKom Solutions, located at 4881 West 145th Street in Hawthorne, California, is identified as the incumbent contractor and original manufacturer of the cylindrical antennas. The procurement involves the acquisition of exactly six antenna units with no specific budget range disclosed in the notice. While the notice does not provide an explicit award value, the Firm Fixed Price structure indicates the contract cost will be predetermined based on the specified antenna quantity and product specifications. The procurement falls under NAICS code 334220 (Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC code 5840 (Radar Equipment, Except Airborne), reflecting the technical nature of the equipment being acquired.
