About this opportunity
The Maryland Air National Guard is seeking a construction contractor to install a specialized partition wall for the 175th Wing's Cyber Operations Group at Martin State Airport. The project involves constructing a 36-foot-long partition wall in room 225 of building 4240, designed to separate Title 32 and Title 10 operational spaces with specific technical requirements. These requirements include a foldable/collapsible design, sound-absorbent lower portion, noise-dampening transparent upper glass section, and an emergency egress door. Interested small businesses must submit a five-page capabilities statement by 3 PM EST on June 11, 2025, detailing their past performance, technical capabilities, and ability to perform at least 50% of the work. Evaluation criteria will focus on the contractor's small business status, technical expertise, and demonstrated capability to meet the complex partition wall specifications. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for June 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM to provide potential bidders with additional project details.
The procurement is not set aside for any specific small business category, though small businesses are encouraged to apply, including Small, Small Disadvantaged, Women-Owned, HUBZone, and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned businesses. The contract will be structured as a Firm Fixed Price type, with the NAICS code 236220 for Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and a small business size standard of $45 million. While specific budget details are not explicitly stated, the project appears to be a targeted, specialized construction effort for a critical cyber operations facility. The procurement process is competitive, with the Maryland Army National Guard seeking a contractor capable of meeting precise technical and operational requirements. The project timeline suggests implementation will occur in the near term, with the pre-solicitation notice posted on May 30, 2025, and response deadline set for June 11, 2025.
