Update #4 ·
This is a request for proposals for Call When Needed (CWN) Basic Ordering Agreement(s) (BOAs) and any resulting orders for Next Generation (NG) Very Large Airtanker (VLAT) services for large fire support wildland firefighting on a nationwide basis. VLATs are used for large fire support where greater amounts of retardant can be used to support existing ground operations.
The Government intends to have BOAs with multiple vendors for CWN NG VLAT services. The BOA contains the terms and clauses applying to future orders, a description of the requirement and methods of pricing, issuing and delivering orders. The BOA is not a contract. The placement of any orders is not guaranteed. The effective period of the resultant agreement(s) will be from date of award to December 31, 2020. This procurement will be 100% set aside for small business concerns.
We anticipate releasing the request for proposals on or about June 15, 2018.
