About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces is conducting a Sources Sought notice to identify potential suppliers of crushed stone on Guam. The pre-solicitation aims to gather comprehensive information from potential vendors about their crushed stone supply capabilities, delivery options, and logistical constraints. Specific questions focus on vendors' ability to provide crushed stone, minimum order quantities, pricing structures, delivery capabilities, and geographic delivery ranges. The opportunity is categorized under NAICS code 212319 for Other Crushed and Broken Stone Mining and Quarrying, with a Product Service Code of 9620 for Minerals. The pre-solicitation was posted on February 10, 2025, with responses due by February 14, 2025, indicating a short turnaround time for interested suppliers to submit their information.
The pre-solicitation does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, meaning the opportunity appears open to all qualified vendors. While no specific award value or budget range is mentioned, the government is seeking detailed information about potential suppliers' ability to deliver large quantities, specifically inquiring about the capability to deliver up to 3,500 cubic yards of crushed stone. The notice seeks granular details about delivery logistics, including maximum delivery capacities, potential delivery locations beyond Guam, delivery timelines, and pricing structures for single and multiple deliveries. The comprehensive questionnaire suggests the government is conducting thorough market research to understand the full range of supply capabilities before formally soliciting bids. The short response window implies the government may be preparing to move quickly to a formal solicitation in the near future.
Notice text
The purpose of this Sources Sought is to find any available sources for crushed stone on Guam with emphasis on the below questions being requested along with any replies received:
- Does your company provide crushed stone?
- Is there a minimum amount of crushed stone that must be ordered?
- Is it sold in cubic yards or feet?
- How much does it cost per cubic yard or feet?
- Does your company deliver?
- If your company delivers, is there a maximum amount of crushed stone that can be delivered at one time?
- If multiple deliveries were to be required is there a flat rate or does it charge per each delivery trip?
- Is delivery only in Guam or can the crushed stone be delivered to other locations?
- If other delivery locations are possible, what would be the other locations available for delivery within the region?
- For each available delivery location, what would be the delivery timelines from point of order to delivery being made?
- What is the maximum capacity for each location? For example, if we ask for 3,500 cubic yards to be delivered can each location support that or does any location have a maximum lower than that?
