About this opportunity
This Special Notice from the USDA's National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) announces intent to award a sole source contract to The Council for Agricultural Science and Technology (CAST). NIFA requires CAST's specialized subject matter expertise to conduct an annual crosscut analysis determining funds expended on biotechnology research across NIFA funded projects.
The goals of the analysis are to quantify total and categorized biotechnology project expenditures to determine next year's budget for the Biotechnology Risk Assessment Grants program. CAST will develop a data management plan and reporting schedule, create expenditure spreadsheets, and provide yearly reports and a final report summarizing activities. Only CAST is qualified to supply the required expertise for this integral service. The base period of performance is June 27, 2024 to June 26, 2025 with two one-year options. No competitive quotes are sought and no solicitation is available - inquiries must be emailed to the point of contact by February 12, 2024.
