About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District is planning to solicit bids for the removal of approximately 450,000 cubic yards of stockpiled dredge material from Corps Island near Diamond Bluff, Wisconsin. The project involves transporting this material to contractor-provided placement locations using hydraulic and/or mechanical methods, with Corps Island being accessible only by water due to lack of road access. The resulting contract will be structured as a firm fixed-price agreement awarded through an Invitation for Bid (IFB) process. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction), and contractors will be evaluated based on their submitted bids. This pre-solicitation notice serves informational purposes only, with specific bid requirements, deadlines, and submission details to be provided when the formal solicitation is released via SAM.gov.
This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to qualifying small business entities. No incumbent contractors are identified in this pre-solicitation notice. The anticipated project value ranges between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000, reflecting the substantial scope of the dredge material removal operation. The project involves the significant volume of 450,000 cubic yards of material that requires removal from the historically used dredge material placement site. No specific timeline for contract performance is provided in this preliminary notice, with such details expected to be included in the formal solicitation when issued.
