About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 260 units of a Cooler Assembly (NSN 1H-9999-LLTRL5666) with Technical Data Package Version 001. The proposed contract will be negotiated under FAR 6.302-1, which allows for single-source procurement. Interested parties are invited to submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements within 45 days of the notice's publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). Qualification requirements will be a critical evaluation criterion, with award contingent upon the offeror, product/service, and manufacturer meeting specific standards. The delivery destination is specified as CPI ECONCO Division in Woodland, CA, with the government acknowledging that they do not currently own the data or rights to the part.
This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, targeting small business contractors for the procurement. The anticipated quantity is 260 individual units, with a specific reference number of 196844. While the exact award value is not disclosed, the contract involves a specialized cooling assembly with complex data rights considerations. The government has determined it would be uneconomical to purchase data rights or reverse engineer the part. Potential bidders can access relevant military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) and ASSIST-Online platform. The procurement may be subject to Free Trade Agreements and Buy American Act provisions, as indicated by potential DFARS clauses that could be included in the final solicitation.
