About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking a contractor to repair signal converters and related electronic components, with a specific focus on maintaining high-quality repair standards and adherence to military specifications. The solicitation, posted on February 17, 2025, with proposals due by March 17, 2025, outlines detailed requirements for repair turnaround time (RTAT) and asset management through the Commercial Asset Visibility (CAV) system. Contractors must accurately report transactions within five business days of asset receipt and complete final government inspection and acceptance within the specified RTAT. The contract emphasizes strict compliance with military standards, including MIL-STD-130 for markings and MIL-STD-2073 for packaging. Evaluation will likely focus on a contractor's ability to meet technical specifications, repair timelines, and reporting requirements.
The solicitation does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, suggesting the opportunity is open to all qualified vendors in the Electronic Component Manufacturing sector (NAICS 334419). The contract appears to have a 365-day induction period after award, with an undefined monthly throughput of repaired assets. Contractors will be responsible for repairing electronic components, specifically signal converters related to aircraft gunnery fire control systems, with performance likely taking place at the contractor's facility. While specific award value is not disclosed, the detailed technical requirements suggest a specialized and potentially significant procurement. The Navy will require comprehensive reporting, including quarterly summaries of equipment alerts and strict adherence to government inspection and quality assurance protocols. Potential contractors must demonstrate technical expertise in electronic component repair and maintenance within defense industry standards.
