About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 4 Electric Controllers (NSN 7H-6110-016941257) with Technical Data Package Version 002, delivered FOB Origin. The government intends to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, though all responsible sources may express interest in responding to the requirement. Potential vendors can obtain necessary specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) in Philadelphia, either online via ASSIST-Quick Search or by contacting their help desk. Interested parties have 45 days from the publication date (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement) to submit proposals, capability statements, or quotations. The government will solely determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on received information.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations and does not mention incumbent contractors or precise award values. The procurement is subject to potential Free Trade Agreements and Buy American Act provisions, which may be detailed in subsequent solicitation documents. Numerical details include the specific quantity of 4 electric controllers and a response window of 45 days from the April 11, 2025 posting date. The government has determined it would be uneconomical to purchase data rights or reverse engineer the part, which influences the procurement strategy. Additionally, the acquisition will not utilize FAR Part 12 policies for commercial items, though vendors may propose commercial alternatives within 15 days of the notice.
