About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking a Control Unit, Remote and other replacement parts classified under PSC 4820 (Valves, Nonpowered). This procurement is designated as a sole-source acquisition under FAR 6.302-1, as the Navy does not possess the technical data necessary to produce the item. Only sources approved by the In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA) may be considered as suppliers for these spare parts. Interested companies must be certified as Depot Overhaul Points (DOP) and submit a Source Approval Request (SAR)-Maritime form to Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) for technical review and engineering determination of their manufacturing capabilities. The Government will evaluate all proposals received within 45 days of the notice publication (or 30 days if award is issued under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement), though the decision to compete or award this contract solely to one source remains at the Government's discretion. The deadline for responses is January 30, 2026.

This procurement carries no set-aside designation and does not identify any incumbent contractors or current suppliers. The requirement specifies a quantity of 12 units with delivery FOB Origin, though no specific award value or budget range is provided in the notice. It is important to note that the Government will not consider offers for remanufactured, surplus, or repair items, requiring only new or newly produced parts. The technical review process to become an approved source may be lengthy, and interested companies should be prepared for an extended certification timeline before they can submit responsive proposals for this sole-source requirement.
