About this opportunity
The Naval Supply Systems Command is preparing to solicit repair or modification of an aircraft control stick (NSN 7R-1680-016678744-H5) with a response deadline of September 24, 2026. This is a sole-source procurement restricted to Government-approved sources; only previously approved contractors have been solicited, and the item is flight critical with insufficient technical data to support full and open competition.
The procurement covers one unit with delivery FOB origin. Unapproved sources must submit source approval documentation concurrent with their proposal, using the applicable NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Source Approval Information Brochure for either spares or repair work. The submission must include technical data supporting the company's production experience with the same or similar item, or document prior submission of all required source approval data to NAVSUP WSS. Proposals failing to provide or document the required source approval information will not be considered for award. If source approval evaluation cannot be completed within the Government's required delivery timeline, or if approval requirements prevent timely item acquisition, the Navy reserves the right to award based on Fleet support needs using the current approved source.
Contractors not currently approved should contact NAVSUP WSS to understand approval timelines and requirements before deciding whether to pursue this opportunity, as the compressed schedule may preclude new-source qualification.
