About this opportunity

Naval Supply Systems Command intends to solicit repair and modification of an intercommunication system component (NSN 7R-5831-014683473-QE) with a response deadline of October 26, 2026, under a sole-source authority due to flight-critical designation and limited source approval.

The procurement covers 146 units for delivery FOB origin. The item is flight critical and requires Government source approval prior to contract award; the Government has determined that adequate specifications cannot be drafted for competitive acquisition and that technical data necessary for competition is not physically available or economically obtainable. Only previously approved sources have been solicited.

Offerors who are not currently Government-approved sources must submit source approval information as detailed in the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Source Approval Information Brochure for Repair, available at https://www.navsup.navy.mil/NAVSUP-Enterprise/NAVSUP-Weapon-Systems-Support/Business-Opps/. Technical data submission requirements vary based on company experience: offerors with prior production experience for the same or similar item submit abbreviated data; those with no prior experience submit full technical data. Offerors with source approval requests already under evaluation at NAVSUP WSS must submit a copy of the cover letter forwarding the original request. Proposals lacking all required source approval documentation will not be considered for award. If source approval evaluation cannot be completed in time to meet Government delivery requirements, the Government reserves the right to award to an already-approved source.
