About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 97 electric lights/light assemblies with National Stock Number 7R-6220-013024410-SF, utilizing a non-competitive procurement approach. The opportunity is specifically for control and electrical light repair/modification with a Technical Data Package (TDP) Version 001. Due to the flight-critical nature of the items, only pre-approved sources will be considered, and potential bidders must submit comprehensive source approval documentation from the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) brochures. Interested parties must demonstrate technical capability and provide detailed manufacturing information to be considered. The government will evaluate proposals based on source approval status, technical competence, and ability to meet stringent military specifications. Proposals must be submitted by July 1, 2025, with a 45-day window for response following the May 16, 2025 publication date.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations for this procurement. The contract will be awarded under FAR 6.302-1 authority, which allows for single-source negotiation. Early and incremental deliveries will be accepted, and the procurement will be delivered FOB Origin. While no specific award value is mentioned, the quantity of 97 units suggests a potentially significant contract value. The government has explicitly stated that commercial item acquisition policies will not be applied to this procurement. Potential contractors must demonstrate their ability to meet highly specialized military requirements, with particular emphasis on technical data submission and source approval. The procurement process allows for interested parties to identify their capabilities, though the government retains sole discretion in determining competitive procurement approach.
